Plant
Long-season crop — start in early summer for late-fall harvest. Sweeten dramatically after frost.
Care
Stake tall plants. Pinch off top rosette in September to force sprouts to fatten up. Row cover for cabbage moth.
Harvest
Bottom-up — pick from base as sprouts reach marble/quarter size. Whole stalks can be harvested at end of season.
Blanch 3 min & freeze; roasted and frozen for winter meals.
