Plant
Sow thick in trays under lights; trim tops to 3" for stocky plants. Transplant when pencil-thick, spacing per bulb size.
Care
Shallow roots — hand weed, water weekly. Stop watering when tops flop.
Harvest
When 50–75% of tops flop; pull on a dry day, cure 2–3 weeks in a shady, airy spot.
Cured storage onions hold 4–6 months cool & dry. Also frozen diced, dehydrated flakes, caramelized-and-frozen cubes.
